Musical Instrument Tuition

Musical Instrument Tuition

Playing a musical instrument is great fun and is something that most people would wish to do, given the opportunity.

In addition to providing endless enjoyment, playing an instrument has well documented health benefits ! (a few links at foot of page)

You may have been put off in the past by a strict academic approach to learning about music (I certainly was put off when I was at school!).

I have been a professional educator and facilitator for 35 years –  no matter what your age, starting from scratch or wanting to improve then I can help.

No scary academic musical theory to learn – just practical help to get you “up and playing” your instrument (and smiling).

Based in Clitheroe in the beautiful Ribble Valley I regularly give lessons / workshops in the surrounding area  (most students feel more comfortable learning in their own homes or social clubs).

The coolest way to play a guitar in the world / solar system!

It’s never too late to start learning – whatever instrument you choose.

My oldest students have been their 80s and the youngest just 7 years old.

It’s been well documented that children benefit from being introduced to playing music but adults can gain so much.

Making music usic has been shown to reduce stress, increase productivity, develop creativity, and build confidence. With the added bonus (an essential element for me) of having a lot of fun along the way.

Here are some linked pages you may wish to read about some health benefits for all ages of playing an instrument.

1 – Good for your brain

2 – Sharpens the mind

3 – 5 reasons

It doesn’t matter what age you are or how long you have been playing.

Whether you wish to learn by yourself with a group of friends then together I will tailor sessions to meet your specific needs.

Please contact me to discuss in more detail.
