Mobile professional digital audio recording studio

My passion for audio recording began 50 years ago by holding a small dynamic microphone against my father’s record player. I could play back the music later on my primitive ( it was state of the art back then) tape cassette player.

Recording technology has advanced greatly. The mass of electronic processing modules, tape machines and bulky sound desks  that I first become familiar with can be replaced with compact and versatile digital equipment.

Using tried and tested professional hardware and software Earwig seeks to make audio recording and production available to as wide an audience as possible.

My technical knowledge and practical skills have been developed over many years. I have also successfully completed formally accredited studies in digital audio recording / production  (studio and live venue) including  Avid Pro Tools training and certification.

Many artists / musicians regret  that they have no record of their performances  and best “party pieces”

Performing “for the record” can be a daunting prospect. Faced with limited time and the unfamiliar surroundings of a “fixed site” recording studio many capable artists fail to successfully capture their efforts for posterity.

Recording yourself is always an option but, despite modern technology, it is very difficult to achieve good results without technical knowledge and (expensive) dedicated professional hardware and software.

Using industry standard digital recording hardware and software, together we can record, mix and master your project to commercial release standard.

Completely mobile, Earwig  brings the capability of a commercial recording studio to capture your performance at a venue where you feel most comfortable.

All over the North West of England, Earwig has made recordings for artists in many diverse venues  – home living rooms, offices, garages, pubs, school halls, churches to name a few.
